My approach to weight loss...
My approach is a focus on clean eating, eating 'real' food, foods as close to their natural state as possible. I will also be giving you nutritional advice as to the effects of different types of food on the body – this will not only really help you make great food choices and lose weight but you will feel fabulous too.
By clean eating, I don't mean that you have to cut out all your treats, it's about working and planning them in and being accountable for them.
By making small changes, and fitting my approach around you & your lifestyle, it will lead to successful sustainable weight loss. You don’t have to count – you can use my 80/20 rule but if you do prefer counting methods, you can link with counting calories. A calorie, however, is not just a calorie which I will be heavily focusing on!
I do recommend keeping a food diary as this is proven to achieve better weight loss, ensuring accountability and greater control. I provide a free paper diary sheet each week or you can track on the free app 'Myfitnesspal' which I highly recommend.
My group sessions include a confidential weigh-in with personal support & motivation and a 25 minute talk/discussion on a variety of topics including food labelling, added sugar, eating out, fakeaways, exercise to name but a few. I also include lots of food ideas and recipes, as well as tips on behaviours and the psychology of eating.
Mini goals with awards and certificates will also help keep you engaged and motivated throughout your weight loss journey.
On your first session you will receive a Welcome Pack with guidelines on my approach, a list of the best foods to focus on and recipes to try. Each week you will receive further information and recipes.
In addition, I will provide you with ongoing support between meetings via email, text and social media (with access to my private facebook group) to keep you engaged, motivated & successful.
When you reach your target weight (your choice within your healthy BMI range), you will become a 'Diamond' member. After 4 weeks of maintenance you can 'Pay as You Go' at a reduced rate of just £1.95 per session as long as you attend at least once every 2 months. You will, however, still receive ongoing support between sessions too.
I also provide one-to-one sessions on request at a mutually convenient time if you would like a higher level of personal support & motivation.
